And I got up,
Got up to find my life full of struggles
Full of miseries, sorrows and stresses
Repleted with defeats, setbacks and excuses
Life of a loser, a no-hoper, a failure and a lame excuser
Brimmed with helplessness, I am going to set off another day
To finish my chores of the day
To pass another 24 hours of the day
To eat another 3 meals of the day
To live as a loser for another day
To wait for luck to come for another day
To envy winners and to curse my fate for another day
To go to temple and to pray to God for success for another day
To keep finding excuses for all that went wrong with me for another day
To whine for meager salary for another day
To scream waiting for my promotion for another day
And to screech for my piteous state for another day
Having these thoughts in mind, I begin all my days
Not different from many of us who begin our days the same way
We who avoid accepting failures
We who envy winners but think that we ourselves can never be
We who wanna be rich but obviate efforts needed to achieve this
Will it ever remain like this?
Will I always remain a loser?
Will I always keep envying victors?
Will I always try excuses for my failures?
Will I always stay skeptical about my success?
No, today won’t be another such day
The muscles are reflexing
The blood is boiling
The heart is beating
Body is exuding confidence
I am feeling myself as any other winner today
If one human has achieved something, I too can achieve it at my own will today
I don’t aspire luck today,
I am not skeptical about my success today
I am not whining about salary today
I am not stressed about my promotion today
I don’t need excuses today
I would accept failures that come my way
I would learn from the failures that confront my way
I would combat whatsoever comes between I and my success today
I can win, I have to win, I will win today
With this thought I got off the bed today
Not to do same chores today
Not to pass, but to live this day full-of-life today

To make my own path today
Not to wait for fate, but to make my own fate today
To become a formidable example for other to follow today
